1) The Ghats:
The Ghats are the banks of the Pushkar Lake, around which the town is set.
Visit the Ghats and Temples and offer your prayers. There are about 52 Ghats thronged by Sadhus, devotees and tourists.

Lord Brahma’s Yagna.
The ‘Pandas’ (the priests) hovering around the lake are sure to dupe a tourist by inducing a tourist to perform a prayer, beware of them.
Brahma, Gau and Varsha Ghats are the oldest and it is auspicious to make your offerings here.
Some of the old abode of kings around the town, have been Jodhpur Palace, Scindia Haveli, and Indore Haveli. These all were residences of kings at one time and now pose as Hotels for the growing numbers of tourists.
2) The Temples:
Pushkar is one place in India where you can find a place of worship of all three main Gods of Hindu mythology (known as Trinity) ,Brahma, the creator of the Universe, Shiva, the destroyer of the Universe and Vishnu, the preserver.
The temples of Brahma, Varaha (Vishnu) and Aptaeshvar (Shiva) are hence the most sacred of the lot here.
Brahma Temple, located at Brahma Ghat, you will see the four-faced icon of Lord Brahma along with his wife Gayatri and the silver turtle. This temple was constructed in 1809.
Varuna Temple is designed in layers and was brutally destroyed by Aurangzeb. However, this temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu still attracts devotees in long numbers.
Aptaeshvar Temple is an underground shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The lingam (symbolic of Shiva) at the temple is where the devotees offer their respect to the idol.
3) Pushkar Cattle Fair:
Slated as one of its kind in the world, ‘the Pushkar Cattle Fair’, is held every year on Kartik-Purnima (full-moon by Hindu calendar) and comes around the month of October or November.
The town of Pushkar with its traders and commodities in form of Camels, Cows, Sheep and Goats , engage in a trade in what could be perhaps the biggest bazaar of its kind in the world. Everyone barring the tourists is here to sell or buy livestock.
The whole town comes to life with a week-long fair that attracts numerous tourists and state government chipping in with organizing cultural events for tourist entertainment.
A must see if you are visiting India around that time.
